What I'm Up To

I co-lead a group of New York 6 Instructional Technologists that built and runs the NY6 Instructional Technology Apprenticeship Program (ITAP)! We're going to share everything that makes our work exciting, energizing, and stimulating with six students a year!

I like connecting people and ideas and other people. And nothing is more exciting than a campus brimming with energy, ideas, collaboration, and good community. So Reference Librarian and Information Literacy Coordinator Glynis Asu and I created this program to help make that happen. I'd love to create a Nerd Nite at the Pub.

I'm helping to build two MOOCs, or Massive Open Online Classes, for Hamilton College. One, Incarceration's Witnesses, is about the history of the American Prison system through the lens of literature written by those incarcerated. Another, Spirituality and Sensuality, is about spirituality, which will be studied through the senses. Both are free! Think about taking them!

I also like finding things online and sharing them with people. I may be what some call a Web Curator, but I just like discovering the many and extraordinarily varied creative and intellectual endeavours occurring on this planet and beyond!

I sing in two wonderful choirs--both under the baton of the incomparable G. Roberts Kolb--in the Clinton area: the Masterworks Chorale at Hamilton College and Tapestry.

I love exploring the world by cooking food! Were you to visit my house, you'd find Indian dishes and a block of homemade Tofu in the fridge.

I help my parents with their awesome (OK: I'm biased) dental business, Fondak Dental Offices, P.C., Fondak Dental Offices, P.C., Fondak Dental Offices, P.C., Fondak Dental Offices, P.C.
(This is how Search Engine Optimization works, right?)

I volunteer whenever possible at the Utica Rescue Mission's Food Pantry and the A Better Chance of Clinton program.

I'm the proud father of this adorable kitty, who sometimes responds when I call "Nova:"
